This workshop interprets and extend the work of the French Analyst Chasseguet- Smirgel and other members of the French School in light of Object Relations theory and the presenter’s clinical experience and recent writing. The notion of the Good object, its healthy differentiation from the omnipotent Grandiose Object and internalization of play states rather than ideal states will be delineated via clinical examples and excerpts from a recent award winning Almodovar film, "Talk to Her."
