Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food. (Hippocrates, 400 B.C.).

Sick of making the same promises to yourself not to eat? Why not make a promise to yourself to eat? Because you deserve to eat great food and find your own great life. The answer is to EAT.

Join a noted psychologist and a longtime expert on eating disorders, Dr. Sima Ariam, for a one of a kind “LOVE YOUR FOOD & LOVE YOURSELF” workshop, in which you prepare together a tasty, healthy, nourishing, and satisfying meal, while paying attention to, discussing, and learning about your conscious and unconscious feelings connected to FOOD and self-defeating AUTOMATIC FOOD BEHAVIORS.

By investigating and mapping the landscape of the inner feelings that rule your food behavior, you can learn how to turn food to be your best friend, teacher, and therapist, instead of hating it or feeling guilty or ashamed about it. This can help you to get in touch with your innermost repressed feelings, and to open a new path to your forgotten self.

Experiencing or re-experiencing the pallet of forgotten, and even hated, tastes, smells, texture, flavors, and variation of food items and dishes – in a supportive warm environment – can lead to discovering of or renewed acquaintance and associations with your wishes and desires, your identity and your authentic core, and to free you from a long time “food prison” you have lived in.

Participation in this workshop will help you to rediscover your real and authentic self, and to allow yourself to eat what you want and desire, instead of the “sleep eating” or rebelling by eating the forbidden food. You will learn to make your food with love, and savor your food and love yourself!

What are the participants saying and feeling?

“Being in the kitchen with you, I leaned to be aware of the options, and what I want, and I celebrated it, and you celebrated it with me”

“This is what I didn’t do with my mother. I learned to run away from the table as soon as I could. At the table there was always confrontation or silent rage. That is what I ran away from.”
